演講人簡介：

許立達院士現任美國Old Dominion University信息技術首席教授。該校原系威廉瑪麗意昂2和弗吉尼亞理工大學的分校。許教授是歐洲科意昂2院士（工程學部）、俄羅斯工程院（原蘇聯工程院）院士、IEEE Fellow、中國工程院院刊《工程管理前沿》創刊共同主編、教育部長江學者。許立達院士現任上海交通大學特聘教授🤹🏿‍♀️，曾任中國國務院發展研究中心研究員和中國科意昂2計算技術研究所研究員。許立達院士是國際上集成信息系統以及工業信息集成工程學科的主要開創者🦐，擔任IEEE和IFIP等國際組織的相關學科領導🕵🏼，曾兩次受到習近平主席接見🕵🏼‍♂️。

演講內容簡介：

Internet of Things (IoT) has provided a promising opportunity to build powerful industrial systems and applications by leveraging the growing ubiquity of radio-frequency identification (RFID), and wireless, mobile, and sensor devices. A wide range of industrial IoT applications have been developed and deployed in recent years. In an effort to understand the development of IoT in industries, this talk discusses the current research of IoT, key enabling technologies, major IoT applications in industries, and identifies research trends and challenges. The talk also discusses 4G/5G IoT and their relationship with Industry 4.0 and Made in China 2025.
